Hello, fellow fantasy readers. I have exciting news to share! My latest novel, the first in a new series, is now available on Amazon. (Apple, B&N, & Kobo will soon follow.) Take a look!
Ever dream of a getaway to the perfect small town, where the weather is always glorious, magic is in the air, and the constant ping of electronics is nonexistent? Then it's time to plan a trip to Fantastic, the charmingly rustic village nestled into the sleepy foothills of California's Sierra Nevada mountains, smack dab in the middle of the Wyrdlands, where magic abounds, rendering modern technology inoperable.
It’s the ideal escape, a place where you can unplug and have a truly enchanting experience!
There, you'll meet Ali Redgrave, the twenty-four-year-old owner of Wyrd Curiosities & Tours. She may look unassuming with her deceptively petite build and blonde pixie cut, but she knows her stuff. She grew up in the Wyrdlands, the strange and sometimes deadly boundary between the Kingdom of Faery and the United States, where faeries and their magic are ever-present and dangerous creatures often lurk in the underbrush.
If you're feeling adventurous and want to see the faery wilds up close and personal, join Ali on one of her guided tours. From the safety of her faery-proofed horse-drawn omnibus, travelers are sure to see some of the Wyrdlands' more common faery denizens, like barghests, alseids, or kelpies to name a few. But the crème de la crème, the rarest sight of them all, is glimpsing an elf, a creature seldom seen outside of their kingdom and almost always cloaked by glamour to disguise their appearance.
But trouble in the form of a dead thrumpin, found bloody and stiff in the blacksmith's flower bed, has turned Ali's idyllic existence upside down. Now, with the evil little corpse stuffed into an iron box in her basement, she awaits the arrival of High Marshal Torin, the humorless and manifestly terrifying elf who rules Elphame Tower and serves as liaison between humans and faeries.
The last thing Ali needs is to face the Marshal’s penetrating elfin gaze. His perception is all too keen, and Ali has more than a few secrets to protect…
I hope you’ll give this one a go and then tell me what you think! I had so much fun spending time in Fantastic. It’s a place where I’d be pretty happy living, even if the faeries do tend to complicate things. Please spread the word to your book-loving friends and family if you'd be so kind. 💕 Discoverability is a monumental challenge these days.
Cheers!
